How Long do the Effects Last?
The longevity of the results depends on many factors such as patient age, the skin quality and health and lifestyle of the patient, how much product is used and where in the face it has been injected. Most patients should expect results to last up to one year, however this is less for lip augmentation.
What are the Possible Side Effects?
Most common side effects are slight redness, swelling or bruising so avoid taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory tablets or Vitamin E 48 hours prior to treatment, all potential side effects are temporary and generally disappear within a few days. With lip enhancement, lips may remain swollen for a couple of days following treatment
Contraindications to Treatment
- Patients with a known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine
- Patients who tend to develop hypertrophic scarring
- Patients with an infection at the proposed injection site
- Women who are pregnant or breast feeding
