Dr Karen Flett MB, ChB (1st Honours)
I have been a doctor for over 25 years and have been on the General Practice register since 2006. I continue to work as a GP Partner and have been in the same post for 11 years. Through this period, I developed a speciality interest at University Hospital Wishaw working with the General Surgery and Plastic Surgery team performing and training nurse specialist in minor surgery, assessing referred lesions and offering removal where appropriate. I continued in this service until Scottish Government reconfiguration of NHS Service lead largely to the withdrawal of minor surgery for benign and cosmetic skin lesions. I have also trained in Aesthetics and have been offering injectable treatments since 2018.
I am registered as a General Practitioner with the General Medical Council and have a current Licence to Practice. I am also registered with ACE Complication Management Group and insured by Hamilton Fraser.
