Medical Microdermabrasion is Now Available

I have introduced Medical Microdermabrasion to the clinic.

Microdermabrasion is commonly used to treat

• fine lines and wrinkles
• sun damaged skin
• acne prone skin
• blackheads and whiteheads
• superficial age spots
• hyperpigmentation
• oily skin or dry or patchy skin

The treatment is performed using a handpiece that is passed over the skin, either using medical grade crystals or specially designed crystal free disposable tips which evenly removes the outermost layer of the skin.  At the same time the underlying dermis is also stimulated by the abrasion and vacuum which promotes new collagen therefore thickening the dermis of the skin combating the signs of ageing.

This treatment can be used on all skin types and is usually performed on the face but it can also be used on the chest, back and shoulders.  This is an effective skin rejuvenation procedure that requires no downtime and is extremely popular because it is painless yet effective with minimal redness, swelling or irritation.
